Paintless dent repair (PDR) removes dents by carefully working the metal back into shape from behind the panel, without filler or repainting. It's used for door dings, hail damage, and minor creases where the paint surface is still intact. When PDR isn't an option, the dent is filled, sanded, and refinished the conventional way.
PDR keeps the factory paint on the car, which is both cheaper and better for resale value than a repaint. Left alone, even small dents can chip and start to rust, and a panel full of door dings drags down what the car is worth. Fixing them early keeps the finish original.
